Study Summary

This study will compare 3 approved medicines commonly used to treat pain in people who have osteoarthritis (AO) or rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and have or are at risk for having heart disease.

 

Study Detail and Compensation:

There are a total of 11 office visits and possibly periodic telephone calls during this 42 month (~3 ½ years) study.

•  Study-related visits, test and study medication are provided to volunteers at no charge

•  Compensation for time and travel is provided

•  Help others by contributing to medical research

 

Eligibility Requirements:

•  Be 18 years of age or older

•  Have had OA or RA at least 6 months

•  Have been prescribed regular medication for your OA or RA pain for at least 6 months

•  Have or be at high risk for heart disease (for example, if you’ve had a heart attack or stroke, or have diabetes)

•  The study doctor can tell if you meet all of the requirements.
