Donald Brautigam

Donald F. Brautigam MD, FAAFP

Dr. Donald Brautigam M.D established Great Lakes Medical Research in 2001 as a division of its parent company, Westfield Family Physicians . The family group practice has 14,000 active patients and has been operating since 1979 with Dr. Brautigam as founder and CEO of both divisions.

 Dr. Brautigam has over 30 years’ experience providing family medicine services to Westfield and surrounding communities. He has conducted a number of clinical trials for Industrial and Academic research institutes e.g. The National Institutes of Health, Duke University/Research Triangle, Clinical Trials Network at Columbia University, University of Alabama at Birmingham, Pfizer, Novo Nordisk, Novartis, AstraZeneca, Boeingher Ingelheim, GlaxoSmithKline, Eli Lily.

 

Dr. Brautigan’s non-medical interests include gardening, fishing, hunting, reading, and spending time with his grandchildren.  when time has allowed he and his wife travel on short-term medical mission trips such as: Kenya, Alaska and Haiti.

Timothy Gorman

Timothy A. Gorman, MD, FAAFP

Timothy Gorman, M.D. joined Great Lakes Medical Research in 2008 and Westfield Family Physicians in 1987. He graduated summa cum laude from Taylor University with a degree in Biology and Systems Analysis. He received his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, followed by a three-year Family Practice residency at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, Pennsylvania.

 

Dr. Gorman has worked with a number pharmaceutical companies as a PI at Great Lakes Medical Research such as: Pfizer, Novo Nordisk, Novartis, AstraZeneca, Boeingher Ingelheim, Janssen Research, Glaxo SmithKline, Sanofi Aventis, Eli Lily.

 

He has also participated in number of clinical trials as Sub I with varies research institutes such as; the National Institutes of Health, Clinical Trials Network at Columbia University, University of Alabama at Birmingham and the Cleveland Clinic Cardiovascular Coordinating Center, American Academy of Family Physicians

 

Dr. Gorman non-medical interests include running, bike riding, reading, and spending time with his wife and children. When able he has done short-term medical missions trips to Zambia, Bangladesh, and Ecuador.

Timothy Kitchen

Timothy M. Kitchen, MD, FAAFP

Timothy Kitchen, M.D. joined Westfield Family Physicians in September of 1993, and Great Lakes Medical Research in 2010. He graduated summa cum laude from Houghton College in 1986. He attended medical school at SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, NY, and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha in 1990. He completed his Family Practice residency in 1993 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Kitchen has received numerous honors in recognition of his scholarship and achievements.

 

Dr. Kitchen has worked as Principle Investigator (PI) and Sub-Investigaor (Sub I) with a number of pharmaceutical companies including: Pfizer, Novo Nordisk, Janssen Research, Novartis, AstraZeneca, Boeingher Ingelheim, GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi Aventis, Eli Lily.

 

He has also participated in a number of clinical trials as Sub I with various research institutes including:  the National Institutes of Health, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the Cleveland Clinic Cardiovascular Coordinating Center and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

 

Dr. Kitchen non-medical interests include: cycling, cross-country skiing, gardening, stained glass work and woodworking.   He and his family have voluntarily served for 3 months at a time at several mission hospitals in African countries including Congo, Kenya and Zambia.
